No Touching Ground

While walking around taking pictures with D/T before their wedding, I noticed these cool wheat paste stickers on the Post Alley wall next to the Alibi Room. I figured out who put them up when I saw a poster in All City Coffee with this same 'wolf' on it. The poster was advertising a show at the Elliott Bay Bookstore. Anyway, the guy apparently calls himself "No Touching Ground". I spotted another one of his stickers the other day under the Ballard Bridge; went back there today to snap some photos and it looked like one of them had been ripped down (I think it was a bear). But the guy with the owls was still there. I also spotted a large bear in the lower level of the Tashiro Kaplan building. I will snap a pic of that sometime.

I like what I've seen of his stickers so far. I like the way he seems to actually be telling a story with his art. The predominant street art motifs seem to be 'comical/satirical', 'cool/weird', and/or 'resistance/rebellion'. I'm a fan of street art telling a story.

More pictures of his stuff on Flicr.
